General Physician (Breast interest)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist/Consultant in General Medicine to work as part of the Department of Medicine across the central Region. The service provides both acute and sub-acute general medicine services including a large outpatient service. The department of Medicine has a team general medicine physicians across the region currently providing general medicine services. Sub specialties/interests in endocrinology, geriatrics, nephrology and cardiology are available and the new appointee is welcome to bring an interest. This position will be attractive to highly skilled and motivated medical professionals who view challenges as opportunities and is driven by a passion to improve healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems. The right applicants will play a key role in developing health care at both patient and system levels. Sub-specialty interests in breast is preferred, however interests in palliative care, rehab, geriatrics or gastroenterology will be considered. The service offers a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate clinical training program, with close ties to the University of Queensland through the Rural Clinical School. As such, you will be responsible for providing leadership and help with the delivery of the Undergraduate general medical education program. What Can We Offer?
