Pain Specialist/Consultant

Consultant/Specialist - Pain Medicine -Tertiary Public Hospital Southern Australia- Total package value in excess of $400 000 p.a Australian Dollars per annum (dependent on experience). Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight. The Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for the state, and the principal teaching hospital for the University School of Medicine. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state. The service presently consists of a team of Pain Medicine specialists, a psychiatrist, a visiting general practitioner, and two registrars, together with a Nurse Unit Manager and clinic nurses, a full team of experienced allied health practitioners in physiotherapy and psychology, and administrative staff. Multidisciplinary assessment clinics (MDTs) are run every week, together with one on one consultations with team members, a Moving with Pain course, and an EPOCHnetwork. The present director is retiring and the service is undergoing a process of internal change, and relocation within the internal governance structure of the hospital. We are looking for a suitably experienced Pain Medicine specialist who would be eligible for an initial appointment as Clinical Director (HOD) of the service for two years, renewable by mutual agreement.
